Internal messaging

Decisions in a small company are made in corridors and in a personal messaging app. They are found nowhere the day somebody leaves.

This messaging does not aim to replace a full team tool. It has one property such a tool will never have: it is inside the software where the work happens .

What it does

• Direct conversations between members of the organisation.
• Groups for a project, a site, a team.
• An organisation feed for what everybody has to read.
• Real time , without reloading the page.
• Mentions of a colleague, which notify them.
• An unread counter in the top bar, wherever you are.

Why it is not in the menu

It has no entry in the side navigation, and that is deliberate: you reach it from the top bar button, from any screen. Messaging you have to hunt for in a menu is messaging you do not open.

What it is not

No video calls, no screen sharing, no threaded replies. Those are real needs, and other tools cover them better. This module covers the case where you want to ask a colleague something without leaving the file in front of you .
