Inventory & Stock

Accurate stock is not kept by hand. It is kept because every movement has a recorded cause: a sale, a purchase, a transfer, a stock count.

What is managed

• Warehouses and zones — several locations, and a place within each.
• Items attached to the sales catalogue: one product, not two records to keep in step.
• Batches and serial numbers , with their origin and their date.
• Suppliers , attached to the party directory just like customers.

The purchase flow

Purchase order → receipt → supplier invoice. Each step creates its movement, and the movement says where the quantity came from.

The sales flow

When a customer order is confirmed, delivery notes are created automatically, grouped by warehouse : an order served from two depots produces two notes, which is exactly what the warehouse expects.

Reservations do not block. Reserving signals intent, not a lock. Stock that refuses a sale because a reservation has been asleep for three weeks costs more than an inventory discrepancy.

What you can see

• Low stock alerts by item and by warehouse.
• Inter-warehouse transfers , traced like everything else.
• Movement history : a stock movement is history, it is not corrected — it is reversed.
